    UFC 71

Didn't get to see it but, the Iceman gets KO'd in the 1st. Guess he'll have to try again to "avenge" his loss to Jackson.

    Re: UFC 71

    I watched it.

They danced around the ring a bit, with both throwing a few jabs. None landed on either fighter from what I saw.

Rampage just threw a punch and it hit Liddell right on the chin. Liddell fell straight down, both arms almost out to the side, and Rampage followed him to the ground, punching him repeatedly in the head.

    In short:
Liddell just got whipped. I can't say I'm surprised. Rampage is simply the better fighter in my opinion and Liddell is extremely overrated.

The UFC/Dana White hypes up Chuck Liddell so much, you'd think he'd win easily or that he'd be the true champion coming in. The fact is: He was the underdog from the beginning. I'm not surprised at all that he nearly got KTFO. If the ref wouldn't have jumped in, Chuck would have been out cold I assure you. He didn't do jack ****.

I figured Chuck would be in trouble in this fight, Rampage will prolly be the champ for awhile. Any Idea who will be the first to challenge Jackson?

some guy from pride who holds two titles.

That 21 year old that wrestled before the main event impressed me.

Dan Henderson will beat Rampage in my opinion. He's defeated some of the best and he has tons of experience.. I loved his Wanderlei Silva KO.

    Re: UFC 71

Dan Henderson knocked out Wanderlei Silva who is one of the greatest fighters of all time in the Pride Championship series. And Wanderlei Silva put a beat down on Rampage like you have never seen. Silva took him apart and knocked him out. So this Henderson guy is for real, and will probably make Rampage's reign as champion pretty short.

    Re: UFC 71

Just like in boxing styles also make fights in MMA. Jackson (who claims to be a street fighter) probably has the best technical boxing skills in his division. If you have the fight with Chuck watch as Chuck throws a left to Jackson's body. Jackson rolls and covers, then comes up high with his own right knowing that it'll be open.

Chuck is a strong striker but not a technical boxer. Jackson covers, rolls, slips, bobs & weaves, etc. You don't see too much of that in MMA.

Dan Henderson is a natural 185 pounder, very talented but a bit small for the UFC LHW division IMO.

Jackson would be most vulnerable to a slick submissions man with got shots (takedown skills). Don't want to tie up with Jackson standing (big throws and slams).

One note on Jackson. He actually has much of the MMA world believing that he's just a strong athletic brawler. His uncle (I think it was) was an Olympic Judo champ, he has a strong wrestling background and as I said before he is easily the most technical boxer in the division. By not understanding these things and believing Jackson's own claims about his style opponents often times fail to prepare it a proper manner.

I'm glad I didn't pay to watch this fight, since it didn't last long. I didn't know much about Jackson, don't think I've ever watched him fight before. But after watching Chuck (Iceman) fight several times, I always thought he tried to use his iron fists to win most fights. Looks like Jackson has a nice iron fist also. I'm not much of a Chuck fan, so I was glad to see Jackson win. I guess there will be a rematch again.

I watched it, Jackson can take a punch. I was shocked to see him do that to Chuck!!!

Chuck doesn't look like he has much of a have much of a chin, of course he was in the worst possible position with his head straight up in the air. Remember Chuck, tuck that chin in!
